2 CD set, still sealed. offers Walter Egan’s first four albums -- 1977’s Fundamental Roll, 1978’s Not Shy (which had his big hit, “Magnet and Steel”), 1979’s Hi-Fi, and 1980’s The Last Stroll -- all digitally remastered and enhanced by two bonus tracks, “Bad News Travels Fast” and an a cappella take on “Magnet & Steel.” For serious Eganfans, this is a tidy way to pick up all of his prime material in one set.

"It even has reflective liner notes to each album, penned by Egan himself. Those were different times, and Walter's music reflects it. His first album served as a good intro, but he hit stride with Not Shy, his second album. This would be his high point, he would come no closer to making it. Hi Fi, his third, was ok, half the album not delivering the potential hits. The 4th album The Last Stroll, finishes up the collection. I saw Walter Egan twice, during the Not Shy and Hi Fi years. He was a solid act. This is a good way to get Egan's best work at a good price. Good remastering, too." - AMazon
